This months front page image is from a sequence of pictures 'Paris by Night' inspired by the images of Brassai, the famous French Photographer.

His images were taken in the 1930's/40's and gave an insight into Parisian life at that time. Obviously Paris has changed considerably from those times, however a lot of the original buildings remain although modern street furniture, shop fronts and restaurants give a different feel.

With the images in May's gallery, Dave has tried to invoke a feeling of both era's, selecting images from Versaille, the back streets of Paris and the cafe culture.
